South Luangwa 8 nights

The Luwi River meanders through some of the most remote areas of the South Luangwa National Park.

Nights are spent at intimate and basic but almost luxurious Norman Carr Safari Camps. Guests can also opt for a night or two out under the stars with just a mossie net, a guide and a scout for company and camp fires to ward off nocturnal visitors, miles from "civilization" - this Return to the Wild sleep out is only for the most adventurous of spirit!

Plains Camp  is your starting point for this ultimate Kruger walking safari. Plains is set out like an old pioneers camp with luxury tents. It is located in a 12000 hectre private concession inside the KNP, close to Mala Mala and Sabi Sands, the animals have freedom of movement through these private reserves. On day 3, you will spend a "night out" in the bush. You will sleepin a giant tree house elevated high above the ground. The fabric of the tent roof allows you to gaze at the night sky, while listening to the sounds of the african night below you - this is the ultimate bush experience! Your guides will be on watch. Walks are conducted in the early morning and game drives in the late afternoon or early evening. During midday you recline at the lodge to escape from the African sun and enjoy African bush lodge hospitatlity.

This is an epic walking tour incorporating some of the most scenic areas in arguably one of the most  beautiful parts of the world, The Cape of South Africa. It starts in the Cape Winelands, moves to the rugged, remote Cederberg Wilderness, takes in the scenery of the Klein Karoo, down onto the Garden Route and then to stunning Cape Town via Hermanus and Cape Point.
